Today I want to talk about a couple exciting promos recently introduced by PokerStars.

PokerStars has really taken advantage of their most recent WSOP champion. Jonathan Duhamel is targeting his next promotion at Canadians, inviting them to download PokerStars for the chance to win an EPT prize package. The winner of this package will receive plane tickets for two, accommodations for 4 nights, a seat in EPT Deauville (Main Event), dinner with Duhamel, and $1,000 spending money.

If you would like the chance to win this package, you need to download free poker and get into the Grand Final of the Canadian Celebration. This can be done by playing freerolls, $2.20 qualifiers, and FPP satellites. The winner of the Grand Final wins the trip.

Non-Canadians can still get into some huge tournaments by qualifying for the PCA. The PokerStars download has a special new tournament for you if you are a fan of fishing and poker. You can either enter satellites or buy-in directly to the Fish & Chips Showdown.

There aren’t any online poker rooms that have a tournament like this one. The Fish & Chips Showdown runs over two days, allowing one day for fishing and two days for poker. Players will need to wake up early January 6th to try to catch the best fish possible. Players score points depending on how they catch the fish and how much the fish weighs.

Once the fishing is over, the players head over to play a poker tournament. The first day is finished once the field has been reduced to the final table. Day 2 sees the final table continue on, and players receive points depending on where they place. When the tournament is finished, players add the points they received from the fishing portion and the player with the most points wins.
